PRESS RELEASE:
Biagi
Italian Bead Bracelets Set
to Hit Market in Time for
Summer.
Unodomani, an
Italian charms designer, introduces
a new, distinctive line of
sterling silver jewelry -
The Biagi Italian Bead
Bracelets. Born of
quality, contemporary
Italian design, the bead
bracelets have several
distinctive features that
set them apart from other
lines of modular jewelry;
the most impressive being
the ability to add charms
without the assistance of
a jeweler.
The
Base Bracelet Design utilizes
a screw on technology,
which allows customers to
screw beads onto the
sterling silver rope
chain, making it much
easier to add, remove and
rearrange beads to suit
everyday taste. Simply
put, screw on technology
is more of a flexible
application than a modular
link Italian charm design.
Similar
to the Italian charm
bracelets, a retail
customer can build a
bracelet, necklace or
anklet one bead at a time,
or select several beads at
once. Beads can be locked
into place with the
purchase of a spacer or
lock, or can ‘free
float’ along the braided
rope chain as is the
customer’s preference.
And, with an ever
increasing volume of
beads, the options are
endless.
Another
distinctive feature is the
multitude of quality
sterling silver rope sizes
available. Customers can
create customized bracelets,
anklets, and necklaces.
Previously modular jewelry
was available only in a
bracelet format. Biagi
takes modular to the next
level by offering the
customer up to 10 varying
rope lengths designed to
fit ankles, necks ands
wrists, making the
possibilities endless.
Chris
Gill of Countryside
Italian Charms is one of
the first retailers to
carry the line. As a kiosk
owner in Clearwater,
Florida, Gill states that
early test sales have been
very strong: “This
product has an upscale,
sophisticated look that
doesn’t exist in modular
jewelry. The Biagi line is
12-15 percent of my total
inventory but comprises
10% of my total sales. And
I’ve only been carrying
it for two months.”
Price
point has a lot to do with
the anticipated success of
this line. Rope chains
start at $18 and beads
range anywhere from $17 on
up. The average customer
doesn’t have to ‘break
the bank’ to buy a
start-up piece.
Likewise,
Unodomani CEO Paul Cappola
stresses that retailers
not worry about large
minimum order
requirements. Because of
their commitment to the
small, medium and large
independent retailers
Biagi does not require
high-priced minimums
prevalent in the modular
jewelry industry: “We
value the small retailer
and don’t want to knock
anyone out of the
opportunity to carry this
line” states Cappola.
With
catalogs available and a
web site to view Biagi
merchandise, this line
stands to become a hot
trend for the upcoming
holiday season. As a
distinct, one-of-a-kind
piece, one thing is
certain; The Biagi Italian
Bead Bracelets will
certainly generate a lot
of buzz.
